Mary the Eternal (Unfading Bloom) is one of the most beloved
icons in the Christ East. The Virgin dressed in blue holds the Christ Child with her left hand. The Christ Child is blessing with his right hand and holds an "orb" (a symbol of the world) with his left. In the Virgin's right hand is a stem of lilies of which two are bloomed and one is blooming. The floral stem symbolizes the
Trinity with the Christ Child being flower blooming. The icon manifests the Blessed Trinity with the Virgin Mary the
Mother of God.
