Decoupage technique is well-known from 17-th century. In France artcrafters used this method for furniture decorating and for enriching other accessories. The word "decoupage" translates from french as "cut-outs". Decoupage is the art of decorating when any object can be covered by gluing with some cut-outs of paper, or other flat material and then lacquer is applied over.
